A companion for those experiencing high levels of stress associated with flying
Project Description |
Background:
Breaking news! Studies have shown airline fliers experience sky high levels of stress associated with flying. Your startup PALco, has decided to jump on this market by providing a calming companion. Your team has been tasked with designing a Personal Animatronic Lifeform (PAL) to meet this need. The PAL should provide therapeutic support to the flyer to calm their nerves. |
Approach:
Studies have shown that taking care of someone or something can help ease the anxiety of the care giver. Due to this, our group has decided to create the Calming Animatronic Therapist, or CAT for short. Our goal is to help ease the anxiety of fliers through the act of caring for an animatronic lifeform. |
How to use CAT? |
Checking in with our fliers
As the age old verbiage states, you cannot solve the problem until you first identify the problem itself! A flier's interaction with CAT begins with a quick check in.
"Flier, how are you feeling today?"
Once our flier has acknowledged their anxiety level, CAT will adjust accordingly. The more anxious our flier is, the easier it will be to take care of CAT.
How to care for CAT
Feeding:
CAT must be fed in order to become happy! Since cats have nine lives you must feed each of CAT's lives one fish. But beware, CAT does not like it when you taunt him by missing fish. This will result in a penalty! One fish already caught will be let go.

Petting:
Now that CAT has been adequately fed, he is ready for a big cat nap! Provide CAT with some soothing pets to help him fall asleep, you may even get him to purr! But beware, if you pet too aggressively or too slowly, you'll never get CAT asleep!
